Job description

Job Summary:
Base Power Company is America’s next-generation power company, focused on transforming the electricity grid with a network of distributed batteries. They are seeking a Deployment Operations Specialist to manage financial and process analysis for their warehousing and logistics team, ensuring operational efficiency and cost optimization through data-driven insights.
Responsibilities:
• Help capture our warehousing and logistics key metrics—tracking cost per install, cost per transfer, and cost per location across all active markets.
• Partner with Finance and Accounting to develop and maintain business processes surrounding our deployed hardware
• Collaborate on month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure accurate inventory and transaction capture.
• Identify process inefficiencies through data analysis and present structured, evidence-based recommendations to improve cost, speed, or quality.
• Own process documentation for active and newly launched markets to ensure operational consistency and create a baseline for continuous improvement.
• Develop models and financial analysis to support build vs. buy decisions and aid contract evaluations.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 2–5 years of experience in financial analysis, operations analytics, strategy, or supply chain in a high-growth environment.
• Strong financial modeling skills—able to build unit economics models, cost-benefit analyses, and scenario models from scratch in Excel or Google Sheets.
• Experience defining and tracking operational KPIs; comfort building dashboards or reports in BI tools (Looker, Grafana, Tableau, or similar).
• SQL proficiency —you’ll need to pull and manipulate data independently.
• Ability to translate messy operational data into clear insights and concise recommendations for senior stakeholders.
• Comfort collaborating with Finance and Accounting on cost modeling, financial close processes, and intercompany transactions.
Preferred:
• Experience in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain operations is a strong plus—you need to understand what the numbers represent.
Company:
Base is building the future of American power. The grid is the largest, most complex machine in the world. Founded in 2023, the company is headquartered in Austin, USA, with a team of 501-1000 employees. The company is currently Growth Stage.
