Job description

The Revenue Operations Analyst is a high-impact, analytical role responsible for owning the integrity of WeldFit's services revenue cycle- from field execution through invoice collection. This person will partner across Operations, Quotations, Project Management, Accounting, and Sales to accelerate the ticket-to-cash process, eliminate billing leakage, and drive margin improvement on all services projects.
We are looking for a curious, analytical professional who challenges the status quo, builds repeatable processes where applicable, and uses data to surface opportunities to grow revenue and scale margin. The successful candidate will treat services revenue as a system to be continuously optimized-and will earn expanded responsibility as they prove out impact.
Key Responsibilities
Services Revenue Recognition & Cash Acceleration
  • Own the end-to-end ticket-to-cash process for services revenue, driving measurable reductions in days-to-invoice.
  • Identify and eliminate billing leakage by reconciling field-captured labor, materials, equipment, and pass-through costs against quoted scope and executed work.
  • Partner with operations and accounting to ensure every billable hour, part, and service is captured and invoiced in the correct revenue period.
  • Maintain a rolling pipeline of work-in-progress and unbilled revenue.

Job Cost Analysis (JCA) Ownership
  • Formalize and own the JCA process: collect time tickets, field records, purchase orders, and CRM data, package supporting documentation, and submit complete JCA packets to accounting for invoicing.
  • Update CRM Work Orders to reflect realized costs, scope changes, and final billing status-ensuring the CRM is a single source of truth.
  • Standardize JCA templates, naming conventions, and submission cadence to reduce cycle time and rework.

Invoice Dispute Support
  • Support in all customer invoice disputes related to services work.
  • Build clear, defensible reconciliation spreadsheets that tie quoted scope, change orders, field tickets, and realized costs to disputed line items.
  • Communicate directly and professionally operations and sales to resolve disputes quickly while protecting WeldFit's margin.
  • Track dispute root causes and feed insights back into quoting, field documentation, and contracting practices to prevent recurrence.

Monthly Margin Review & Continuous Improvement
  • Lead a monthly margin review meeting with Operations and Quotations, comparing quoted vs. realized margin at the project and customer level.
  • Surface estimating misses, execution variances, scope creep, and pricing erosion-and translate findings into concrete actions for the quoting and operations teams.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that give leadership real-time visibility into services revenue, margin, WIP, and ticket-to-cash performance.
  • Recommend pricing, scoping, and process changes that compound into measurable margin improvement quarter over quarter.

Revenue Optimization & Strategic Projects
Proactively identify opportunities to increase services revenue capture-including underbilled scope, missed change orders, and pricing benchmarks.
Partner with Sales and Operations on customer-level profitability analysis to inform pricing, account strategy, and resource allocation.
Take on cross-functional projects as the role matures: system implementations, KPI design, automation initiatives, and other revenue-impacting work.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field-or equivalent demonstrated experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in revenue operations, project accounting, job costing, financial analysis, or services billing-ideally in an industrial, oilfield services, energy, construction, or manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience reconciling data between CRM and ERP systems.
  • Advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, pivot tables, data modeling); comfort manipulating and validating large data sets.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate detailed cost data into clear narratives for customers and executives.
  • Demonstrated ownership mindset-someone who closes loops, drives issues to resolution, and improves the system as they go.

Preferred
  • Experience with services revenue recognition under ASC 606 (or comparable framework).
  • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM and SyteLine ERP platforms.
  • Experience with BI / dashboarding tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
  • Background in oilfield services, pipeline, midstream, fabrication, or related industrial sectors.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or other process-improvement training.

Key Competencies
  • Analytical Rigor: Deconstructs complex problems, builds the right model, and lets the data drive the answer.
  • Process Builder: Sees broken or missing processes and formalizes them-templates, checklists, cadences, owners.
  • Bias for Action: Moves quickly, escalates when needed, and doesn't let work sit.
  • Cross-Functional Influence: Earns credibility with field, operations, sales, and accounting; gets cooperation without authority.
  • Customer & Margin Orientation: Balances a strong customer centric mindset with disciplined defense of WeldFit's margin.
  • Continuous Learner: Grows into new responsibilities; treats this role as a launchpad, not a destination.
