Job description

Title: School Facilities and Operations Assistant
Position Type: Full-time

We are recruiting a School Facilities and Operations Assistant to join our mission for the 2024-2025 school year.
What the Operations Assistant does:
The Operations Assistant supports the Operations Manager in ensuring the building and grounds are operational and safe, complying with public health, safety, and sanitation regulations, as well as PHILLIPS' policies and procedures:
  • Assist the Operations Manager as requested.
  • Assist with student behavioral issues and physical problems related to the facility.
  • Perform fire drills and manage responses to fire alarm activations.
  • Order supplies and manage inventory.
  • Schedule, implement, and/or supervise building maintenance, repair, and inspections.
  • Provide backup and coverage for the Operations Manager during absences.
  • Perform tasks and update the Operations Procedures binder.
  • Participate in the Emergency Management and Planning Team.
  • Respond to crises as necessary.
  • Control use and access of the building and grounds.
  • Coordinate and implement school closings and delayed openings.
  • Assist with technology tasks as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What the Operations Assistant brings to the team:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, required.
  • Prior operations or facilities experience, highly preferred.
