American Consultants is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Hobbs, New Mexico.

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Operating Room – Hobbs, NM 88240

Start Date: June 29, 2026

Location: Hobbs, New Mexico

Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-hour (07:00 - 15:00). On-call required 1-2 weekdays and 1-2 weekends per month. Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day). 91-day assignment.

Highlights:
  • Short-term acute care facility with 61 beds and 5 operating rooms
  • Daily census of 5-6 cases with 1:1 patient ratios
  • Specialty focus includes orthopedics, general surgery, gynecology, and podiatry
  • Epic charting system in use
  • Free parking and interdisciplinary support including PT, respiratory services, radiology, and pharmacy
  • 40-hour orientation provided
Requirements:
  • Active New Mexico RN license or Compact license (must be in hand at submission)
  • Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required
  • Previous travel experience required
  • Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Proficiency in orthopedic, general, gynecological, and podiatric procedures
  • Skills in laparoscopic procedures, total joint replacement, trauma, arthroscopy, and ambulatory OR
  • Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
