American Consultants is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in John Day, Oregon.

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Operating Room – John Day, OR 97845

Location: John Day, Oregon

Schedule: 40 hours per week, day shift (8-hour shifts). After-hours call required approximately 14-15 days per month, shared with other nursing staff. Low surgical volume setting.

Highlights:
  • Provide comprehensive perioperative care including pre-op, intra-op, and post-op nursing
  • Circulate for general, orthopedic, cataract, cesarean section, and trauma surgeries
  • Supervise certified surgical technologist working toward OR certification
  • Work in a low-volume acute care hospital setting with collaborative team support
  • Anesthesia and surgeon remain in-house until patient discharge for additional support
  • 91-day assignment with day shift scheduling
Requirements:
  • Active Oregon Registered Nurse license or compact state eligibility
  • Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
  • Experience in pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative nursing care
  • Circulating experience in operating room required
  • Familiarity with Cerner electronic health record system preferred
  • Scrub experience preferred but not required
