Job description

Operating Room Nurse

The operating room nurse is responsible for scrubbing and/or circulating duties for operative procedures. Department admissions to the operative suite are managed by the operating room nurse. Adheres to standards and appropriate aseptic techniques. Consults and coordinates with team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate intraoperative patient care plans. Serves as a communication liaison to patients, families, and members of the operating team. Prepares the operating room for the patient and surgical procedure. Assembles equipment and supplies, ensuring equipment is functional and supplies/implants are available.
