Medasource is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Miami, Florida.

4 Day Schedule Unit Information: Operating Room (701) Location: HCA Florida Mercy Hospital Address: 3663 South Miami Avenue, Miami, FL 33133 Floor: Building: Main General Information Tell us about the unit(s): Number of Beds – 29 beds Number of Staff – Varies on volume, 1 Charge RN, 2-3 RN’s, 2 Techs, clinical coordinator Type of staff: Day Shift – 1 Charge RN, 2-3 RN’s, 2 Tech’s and clinical coordinator Night Shift – 1 charge RN, 2-3 RN’s, 2 Tech’s and clinical coordinator Patient Ratios – 3:1 Type of equipment – x-rays, preoperative, anesthesiologist, lab, electrocardiography, EKG EMR - Meditech Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters) Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. ACLS, BLS, 2 years current experience in acute OR setting, ortho, spine and joint replacement experience Knee and Hip replacement experience Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first. PALS, CNOR any Charge experience RN is responsible for the observation, assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation of care of all patients List typical procedures performed on unit(s): Joint replacement, ENT, Ortho, Spine, Urology Vascular, Podiatry, Thoracic Surgery and Plastic Surgery Best personality Fit: Dedicated, patient care experience, reliable, proficient charting Critical thinker, passionate, multi-taking, excellent bedside manner Dress Code: Include requirements, but most of all not acceptable attire. Scrub Color - Navy blue or Royal blue are acceptable. No surgical type scrubs. Unit Guidelines/Policies: Please feel free to attach unit policies and guidelines. Must be able to Scrub and a circulator that knows all service lines. Rotating weekends are a possibility. 4 On call requirements for a 4 week period. 2 weeknight calls 7p-7am call 2 weekend 24 hr call 1 holiday call 24 hr call (if a holiday falls on the 4 week period)
