Job description

Operating Room Aide

We are seeking a highly motivated Operating Room Aide to join our team in the Health Care Services industry. As an Operating Room Aide, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the Operating Room. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the surgical team in preparing the operating room for surgery, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available and in good working order. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and sterile environment in the operating room, and for transporting patients to and from the operating room.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting, specifically surgical setting preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift and move equipment and patients
  • Clinical experience as LPN, CNA or Surg Tech is desired

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the surgical team in preparing the operating room for surgery
  • Ensure that all necessary equipment and supplies are available and in good working order
  • Maintain a clean and sterile environment in the operating room
  • Transport patients to and from the operating room
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by the surgical team

Skills:

As an Operating Room Aide, you will use your excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work closely with the surgical team and other healthcare professionals. You will also use your ability to work in a fast-paced environment to ensure that the operating room is prepared for surgery in a timely and efficient manner. Your ability to lift and move equipment and patients will be essential to your success in this role. Additionally, your knowledge of surgical instruments and equipment, as well as your experience with electronic medical records, will be valuable assets in this position.
