Job description

We are currently seeking Dietary Aide/server to join our team. We provide a wide array of services to seniors. The Dietary Aide/Server is responsible for serving/meals to the clients in his/her assigned area. 
 

Minimum Qualifications:

·        High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

·        At least one year of experience in the healthcare or food service industry.

·        Certification in food service is a plus.

·        Proven experience in food service; customer service experience is a plus.

·        Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines.

·     Skilled in meal/snack preparation and operating kitchen appliances, cookware, and bakeware.

·        Strong communication and customer service skills.

·        Ability to read, write, speak, and follow written and oral directions in English.

·        Must pass a criminal background check.

·        Physically able to perform job duties, including:

o   Standing, walking, bending, and twisting for extended periods.

o   Lifting and carrying over 20 lbs.

o   Pushing/pulling objects over 45 lbs. of horizontal force.

o   Visual acuity for close-up tasks.

·         Previous experience as a server is desirable.

Position Summary:

The Dietary Aide ensures the sanitary and safe handling of food and equipment while assisting in meal preparation, service, and cleanup. Responsibilities include following dietary guidelines, serving food according to modified diets and mealtime schedules, and maintaining proper food temperatures. This role also supports kitchen operations by performing tasks such as dishwashing, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting with meal service for residents, staff, and special events.
