Job description

Dietary Aide in Assisted Living
Part Time | Days | 6am - 2:30pm
Part Time | Evening | 4pm/5pm - 7pm
Pay Rate between $12.50/hr to $14.30/hr Based on Experience
The Dietary Aide in Assisted Living supports our mission and values by providing high quality food service to all residents and employees; promoting optimal nutritional status for each resident by providing diet in accordance with physician's orders and consistent with the residents individual physical, cultural and religious needs.
The Dietary Aide in Assisted Living's primary responsibilities may include:
  • Dining room service, including serving residents, carrying residents' trays and delivering/picking up trays from nursing carts.
  • Performing tasks on a cleaning schedule, including trash disposal, dishwashing, and sweeping & mopping floors.
  • Performing a variety of tasks in the kitchen, including prep work, ensuring proper food storage by labelling & dating food items, operating kitchen equipment, handling chemicals and cleaning equipment, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What do I need as a Dietary Aide in Assisted Living?
  • At least 16 years of age (work permit required for employees under the age of 18)
  • Customer Service skills preferred
  • Prior food service experience preferred but not required.
  • Onsite presence required.
