Job Title: Onsite Logistics Account Manager

MW Logistics is currently positioning itself for growth. We are currently seeking individuals for the position of Account Manager to join our team.

The Onsite Logistics Account Manager’s key responsibilities will be to establish, manage and grow relationships with carrier partners while providing best-in-class service to our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • As a Logistics Account Manager, you will serve as a key point of contact for our customers, ensuring timely and efficient freight execution while delivering exceptional service.
  • You will manage client relationships, coordinate shipments, and collaborate closely with carriers and internal teams to drive successful logistics solutions.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for assigned customer accounts, ensuring clear communication and proactive issue resolution.
  • Monitor and track in-transit loads, providing real-time updates and ensuring on-time performance.
  • Manage and track rates with carriers.
  • Book carriers and build loads through Quickbase system (Training will be provided).
  • Develop and manage carrier base for consistent lane specific volumes.
  • Clarify load requirements with carriers, confirming drivers have proper information to pick-up/deliver. This includes, but is not limited to:
    • Shipping Notices
    • Rate requesting with carriers
    • Contacting Transportation Managers for missing information related to deliveries
    • Generating Bill of Ladings for shipments
  • Maintain carrier satisfaction, provide high quality service, and work ethic while representing MWL.
  • Manage order entry and create orders for customers through systems, phone, and email as needed.
  • Follow customer SOPs during the booking and dispatching process.
  • Provide and required reporting to management. Follow Accessorial Approval processes when requesting an accessorial approval.

Professional Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, logistics, supply chain or related field. Must have a minimum of 2 years' demonstrated freight broker experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (Outlook, Excel and Word)
  • Strong data analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills with emphasis on professional phone and email etiquette.
  • Superior organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • High customer service orientation.
  • Team player with proven ability to excel in a team-based environment.
  • Possess a sense of urgency, flexibility, and assertiveness.
  • Ability to multi-task, plan/prioritize and execute in a timely manner.
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities.
  • Quick learner with ability to receive and give clear instructions.

Office:

Hours: In-office, 8:00am – 5:00 pm. A one-hour lunch between 11:00 am – 1:00pm as scheduled by department leadership to ensure ongoing coverage. As a 24/7/365 operation, must be available to work after hours, weekend and holiday hours as needed to meet work demands.

Physical requirements: Sedentary - Involves lifting articles weighing no more than 10 pounds at a time or occasionally lifting or carrying articles such as docket files, ledgers, or small tools; and despite involving sitting on a regular basis, may require walking or standing on an occasional basis.
