Job description

Qualified candidates will have demonstrated success in serving diverse student populations.SCC - Workforce Development department invites qualified candidates to apply for our Part-time Contract Trainer III: Supply Chain instructor to teach courses in the Supply Chain Management and Logistics, certificate and degree programs lectures/labs. Courses may be daytime, evening, or Saturdays depending on the need. Part-time appointments made on a semester-by-semester (as needed) basis.Ideal candidate(s) will perform instructional classroom and practical hands-on training in the below topics. The candidate will create and deliver training to comply with industry recognized Supply Chain Management and Logistics procedures.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:The selected candidate will demonstrate knowledge of current practices in Transportation Management Systems, Supply Chain and Logistics Management, Procurement, Warehousing, and other fields relating to the transportation and logistics industry. The selected candidate will define how to assess student learning outcomes, foster effective learning in both classroom and lab settings, and promote good public relations via contacts and regular communications with business, industry, and the public sector.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Associates degree with at least five years of experience or a certificate in the field of Logistics.One year instructor/training experience within the last ten years in the Supply Chain Management Logistics, and/or industryStrong knowledge of Microsoft office products Strong oral and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills Ability to maintain confidentiality Ability to work flexible hours when necessaryPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Logistics/Transportation Management systems or closely related field18+ hours of graduate coursework in Supply Chain Logistics/ Transportation Management systems or closely related fieldThree years instructor/training experience AND Three years of industry experience within the last ten years in Supply Chain Logistics/Transportation Management Systems or closely related industry Experience in an academic setting Knowledge of a computerized transportation management systemASCM/APICS CPIM, CSCP, CTLD, LINCS or similar certification preferred To apply: Please attach cover letter, resume/cv, and copies of your transcripts. St. Charles Community College is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
