At Education Management and Networks, we are always looking to strengthen our organization by adding the best available talent to the Team!

 

We are currently seeking an Online Mentor for our Oakland International Virtual program. This role will provide support and serve as a part of an instructional team alongside teachers and service personnel. A mentor is a professional employee of the district who monitors the pupil's progress, ensures the pupil has access to needed technology, is available for assistance, and ensures access to the teacher of record.

Essential Duties

 
  • Assists with designing, implementing, and evaluating program activities to ensure high levels of learning and performance outcomes.
  • Provides one-on-one assistance as needed.
  • Provides instructional support services as directed under the teacher of record.
  • Serves as a testing proctor for assessment administration functions.
  • Maintains performance logs on a daily basis.
  • Performs related duties as needed and assigned by Supervisor.
 

Qualifications

 
  • Must possess an Associate Degree or has earned at least 60 hours of college credit (90 hours preferred)
  • Must be able to demonstrate (through a formal State or local academic assessment) knowledge and the ability to assist in instructing, reading, writing, and mathematics
  • Must be organized and detailed oriented
  • Bilingual English/Arabic Preferred
