This position interacts with colleagues in a team setting and upholds the image of the Firm by maintaining positive contact with clients, attorneys, paralegals and staff and observing confidentiality of client matters. The Day-To-Day On any given day, you will be working with firm attorneys and colleagues on a variety of requests and projects. You will:
  • Assist attorneys with complex litigation matters. Assist in all phases of discovery and trial and arbitration preparation.
  • Assist with document reviews, large document productions, deposition preparation and trial exhibits.
  • Draft privilege logs and deposition summaries. Preparation of witness files. Review of testimony for relevance to specific facts or issues.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining databases in Excel, CaseMap, Relativity, Ringtail, Summation and Trial Director, or similar software programs, for use in the management of complex litigation and large discovery matters.
  • Retrieve and organize data for memorandum of costs and reply briefs.
  • Write, edit and finalize correspondence, memoranda and other legal documents.
  • Document organization, analysis and case outlining.
  • Legal and factual research and writing. Cite checking.
  • Proofread documents and check for appropriate legal terminology, formatting, spelling and grammar.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.
You Have
  • Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate
  • At least 5 years of paralegal experience in a litigation environment including substantial experience supporting labor & employment matters. Trial support experience a plus.
  • Experience in the use of Excel, Relativity, CaseMap, Ringtail, Summation and Trial Director or similar litigation support tools.
  • Experience with an online Internet based document repository strongly desired.
  • Internet research skills including Westlaw and LexisNexis preferred.
  • Familiarity with Carpe Diem or similar time entry technology desired.
