This Position is a Part-Time Instructional Position and receives $700 per credit hour.
Position Summary
Primary Purpose
The Humanities Adjunct Instructor (Online) is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in humanities-related courses in an online learning environment. This position supports student learning by fostering critical thinking, engagement, and academic success. The instructor may teach a range of humanities courses based on departmental needs.

Duties and Responsibilities
Instruction
• Deliver online instruction in assigned humanities courses
• Develop and maintain course materials aligned with curriculum standards
• Facilitate student engagement and promote critical thinking
• Assess and evaluate student performance in a timely manner
Program Support
• Collaborate with faculty and department staff to support program goals
• Participate in online instructional mentorship as needed
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and course activities
Administration
• Adhere to college policies and procedures
• Respond to student inquiries and communications promptly
• Complete required reporting and documentation
Courses to Be Taught
• HUM 2020 - Introduction to Humanities
• ARH 1000 - Art Appreciation
• MUL 1010 - Music Appreciation
• PHI 2010 - Introduction to Philosophy
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
• Master's degree in Humanities; or Master's degree in Art History, Music History, or Musicology with coursework in humanities, literature, philosophy, art, music, or religion; or Master's degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in humanities, literature, philosophy, music, or religion
• Florida residency
• Ability to pass verification of employment, reference screening, and a background check
• Preferred: Three years of experience teaching college-level humanities courses online
• Preferred: Experience teaching Art Appreciation, Music Appreciation, Philosophy, or Ethics online
• The selected candidate should be receptive to additional online instructional mentorship
