Computer Support Tech II (Government Analyst I)

JOB SUMMARY:

This is a Computer Support Tech II - Government Analyst I position in the General Tax Administration Program's, Business Technology Office, Solutions Support Unit. The incumbent provides user support by administering the local area network (LAN), resolving hardware, software, and communication issues, and coordinating system security requirements. The incumbent also performs networking audits and regularly works with the Department's Information Services Program (ISP).

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Three years of experience performing technical support.
  • Experience researching system issues and implementing resolutions.
  • Experience supporting users on a Microsoft platform, including Active Directory or Microsoft Office Suite.

SUBSTITUTIONS:

  • A bachelor's degree in the Information Technology field from an accredited institution can substitute for the required three years of technical support experience.

PREFERENCES: 

  • Professional experience must have been performed in a technical support environment that required customer support and user interaction.      

SPECIAL NOTES:

  • Ability to lift at least 40 pounds.

SALARY: The hiring salary for this position generally will not exceed $3,870.85 monthly/$46,450.20 annually.
