Manager, Online Banking & Technical Delivery

What does a successful Manager, Online Banking & Technical Delivery do at Fiserv?

A successful Manager, Online Banking & Technical Delivery leads delivery and implementations from solution design through production readiness. This role manages developers and technical leads, aligns delivery plans with project goals, and ensures configuration, customization, integrations, testing, and deployment activities are executed effectively. This leader also works closely with clients, project teams, product teams, and third-party partners to communicate technical direction, manage risks, and drive strong implementation outcomes.

What you will do?

  • Lead end-to-end technical delivery for assigned implementations, including task planning, estimates, dependencies, deliverables, technical solution design, code build schedules, and implementation documentation.
  • Provide oversight for product configuration, custom development, mobile implementation, UI/UX configuration, integrations, environment readiness, performance testing, security testing, architecture reviews, design decisions, and code review standards.
  • Manage, coach, and develop developers and technical leads while balancing workload, validating staffing and capacity needs, supporting onboarding and training, and promoting accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a client-facing technical leader by working with clients, Business Analysts, Project Managers, Product Development, internal stakeholders, and third-party vendors to define requirements, guide solutions, resolve integration issues, and support defect triage and technical troubleshooting.
  • Oversee go-live and production readiness activities, including playbooks, pilot plans, validation plans, code promotions, approval checkpoints, cutover readiness, operational readiness, post-installation verification, and improvements in automation, quality controls, repeatability, and developer productivity.

What you must have?

  • 15+ years of relevant software engineering, implementation, or technical delivery experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 12+ years with a Master's degree or above.
  • Advanced to Expert proficiency across 10+ core technologies and practices, including ASP.NET, C#, XML, JavaScript, AngularJS, HTML, jQuery, XSLT, .NET Core, SQL Server, APIs, microservices, CI/CD, and Azure.
  • 2+ banking domain areas of experience, including retail banking, business banking, fintech solutions, or digital banking delivery models.
  • Bachelor's degree or 1+ Master's degree in a relevant field.

What would be nice to have?

  • 1+ professional certification in Azure, Agile, Scrum, DevOps, security, architecture, or technical leadership.
  • 2+ additional domain areas of exposure, such as U.S. digital payments, core banking systems, or third-party banking integrations.
  • 3+ advanced practice areas of experience, including enterprise architecture, security and performance testing, observability and reliability engineering, or AI-assisted engineering.
