Automotive Internet Parts Customer Service Representative Responsibilities

As an Automotive Internet Parts Customer Service Representative, you will manage online automotive parts orders from start to finish while providing exceptional support to retail and wholesale customers.

Daily Responsibilities Include:
  • Process and manage online automotive parts orders from order placement through fulfillment
  • Verify OEM part numbers, pricing, quantities, availability, and shipping information
  • Resolve customer concerns involving:
    • Wrong parts
    • Damaged shipments
    • Lost packages
    • Delayed deliveries
    • Backorders
  • Coordinate with warehouses, vendors, shipping carriers, and dealership teams
  • Handle cancellations, exchanges, refunds, reshipments, and order modifications
  • Support high-volume automotive e-commerce operations
  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email
  • Provide automotive parts quotes and product information
  • Assist Level 1 Customer Service Representatives with escalated or complex cases
  • Maintain detailed documentation of orders, customer communication, and resolutions
  • Deliver professional written communication in a fast-paced, email-heavy environment
  • Generate revenue through proactive customer follow-up and lead response efforts

Automotive Parts Experience Required

This is NOT an entry-level customer service position.

Qualified candidates should have prior experience working in:

  • Automotive dealership parts departments
  • OEM automotive parts operations
  • Automotive e-commerce parts sales
  • Online automotive parts fulfillment

QualificationsPreferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of automotive parts experience
  • OEM automotive parts knowledge strongly preferred
  • Experience with online order fulfillment and shipping workflows
  • Ability to multitask in a high-volume environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience handling customer escalations and problem resolution
