Job description

Celebration, FL | Full-Time | In-Office
$45,000–$55,000 Base + Commission | $65,000+ OTE

Good at Turning Conversations Into Appointments?

If you’re confident on the phone, persistent with follow-up, and get a buzz from turning a conversation into a booked appointment, we want to talk to you.

Paul Gough Media is growing our sales team in Celebration, Florida, and we’re looking for a Sales Appointment Setter who wants to develop their skills, earn more based on performance, and build a career in sales.

You might already have appointment-setting or outbound sales experience and be ready for your next opportunity.

Or you might be earlier in your sales career, have some experience working with leads and customers, and know you have the personality and ambition to become great at sales.

Either way, we're looking for someone who is confident, persistent, competitive, coachable, and hungry to perform.

What You'll Be Doing

Your main objective is simple:

Start conversations. Find opportunities. Book qualified appointments.

You'll speak directly with private healthcare business owners across the country who have interacted with Paul Gough Media through our marketing, events, social media, referrals, educational content, and previous conversations.

Some prospects will already know us.

Others won't.

Some will answer immediately.

Others might take 10 follow-ups before you finally get them on the phone.

Your job is to make sure good opportunities don't get lost.

On a typical day, you'll:

  • Make high-volume outbound calls to prospective clients
  • Respond quickly to new leads while their interest is high
  • Follow up with previous prospects and opportunities
  • Re-engage leads who have stopped responding
  • Build rapport quickly with business owners and decision-makers
  • Ask effective questions to uncover their challenges, goals, and priorities
  • Handle initial objections and hesitation confidently
  • Create enough interest and value for the prospect to take the next step
  • Book qualified appointments directly into our sales team's calendar
  • Follow up through phone, SMS, email, and social media
  • Maintain accurate notes and opportunities inside our CRM
  • Work toward clear weekly and monthly appointment targets
  • Track your booking rates, show rates, conversations, and results

This is a true outbound appointment-setting role.

You should be comfortable spending a significant part of your day on the phone and working in a high-volume environment where 150+ calls per day can be normal.

If chasing someone who hasn't responded after two attempts sounds frustrating, this probably isn't the role for you.

If it makes you want to find another way to get the conversation started, you'll probably fit right in.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who already has some experience working with leads, prospects, customers, or clients in a target-driven environment.

That could include:

  • Appointment setting
  • Outbound sales
  • Inside sales
  • Business development
  • Lead generation
  • Telesales
  • Recruitment
  • Customer-facing sales

Previous outbound calling or appointment-setting experience is a strong advantage, but we're also open to people earlier in their sales career who have the right experience, personality, and ambition to grow.

You'll Thrive Here If You Are:

Persistent — You understand that no answer doesn't necessarily mean no.

Confident — You're comfortable picking up the phone and leading a conversation.

Personable — You can connect with different personalities quickly.

Competitive — You don't just want to hit the target. You want to beat it.

Target-Driven — You like knowing your numbers and exactly what you're working toward.

Resilient — Rejection doesn't affect the energy you bring to your next conversation.

Coachable — You want feedback because you want to improve.

Organized — If you tell someone you'll call them Thursday at 2 PM, you call them Thursday at 2 PM.

Hungry — You want your performance to have an impact on what you earn and where your career goes.

What You'll Get
  • $45,000–$55,000 base salary, depending on experience
  • $65,000+ OTE
  • Performance-based commission that rewards strong results
  • Clear weekly and monthly targets
  • Sales coaching, feedback, and ongoing development
  • Multiple established lead sources from our marketing, events, social media, referrals, educational content, and existing database
  • The opportunity to speak directly with established business owners
  • Career progression into more advanced sales positions for high performers
  • 15 days paid vacation plus selected company holidays
  • A full-time role within a growing company
This Can Be More Than an Appointment-Setting Job

We don't want someone who just wants to make calls, book a few appointments, and clock out.

We want someone who wants to become exceptional at sales.

Someone who wants to figure out how to get more people answering the phone.

How to turn more conversations into opportunities.

How to handle objections better.

How to increase their booking and show rates.

And ultimately, how to earn more and progress into bigger sales opportunities.

If you're earlier in your sales career, we'll give you the environment and opportunity to develop.

If you already have appointment-setting or outbound experience, we'll give you the targets, commission opportunity, and progression to take your career further.

About Paul Gough Media

Paul Gough Media helps private healthcare business owners build more successful and profitable businesses through marketing, sales, business education, events, and innovative AI solutions.

You'll work alongside an ambitious team that values performance, accountability, development, and continuous improvement.

This position is full-time and 100% in-office at our Celebration, Florida location, Monday through Friday.

Ready to Fill the Calendar?

If you're looking for a role where you can sit back and wait for warm leads to come to you, this isn't it.

But if you're confident on the phone, persistent with follow-up, motivated by targets, and excited by the opportunity to turn your performance into more commission and bigger career opportunities, we want to hear from you.
