Job description

Job Overview:
The Logistics Specialist is a sale-oriented position responsible for fulfilling current and future transportation needs of our clients. Must display strong initiative, motivation and resourcefulness. You will focus on identifying the most efficient means of moving the customer's freight, discovering innovative solutions to client problems, and building valuable relationships with carriers.

Duties:

  • Maintain customer relations and communicate with carriers to offer Trinity's services and tools available to them
  • Daily management and coordination of shipments. Track and trace all shipments
  • Establish and coordinate schedule with shipper, receiver, and carrier and tender shipments
  • Establish and confirm rates with carriers
  • Update and maintain Transportation Management System
  • Pro-actively identify problems and swiftly implement the appropriate solution
  • Participates in special projects and handles all other assigned duties as required

Job Qualifications:

  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills. Cultivate relationships with motor carrier partners
  • 1-3 years of transportation or logistics experience preferred
  • Associates degree in Business Management or Logistics is preferred but not required
  • Growth and Results oriented; desire to be in leadership/Management position
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred, but not required
  • Commitment to living the Trinity Guiding Values

Participate in special projects and handles all other assigned duties as required.
