GFT Infrastructure is seeking a Hydrology and Hydraulics Engineer (H&H Engineer) to join our Hydraulics Team in Fort Worth - Dallas, Austin, Beaumont, or Houston, TX! This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at one of our offices in Texas. GFT Geotechnical Dams & Hydraulics Team

Our team excels in dams and levees, advanced water and wastewater treatment, stormwater management, and conveyance, collection, and transmission.  What you'll be challenged to do:This is an excellent career opportunity for an experienced, motivated Hydraulics Engineer (H&H Engineer) who thrives in a collaborative team environment. The Hydraulic Project Engineer will perform engineering calculations, technical studies and prepares plans and specifications for a wide variety of projects, including impact analysis, roadway drainage and master drainage plans. Provides general oversight, control, and management of H&H analysis and design tasks for a project. Perform client and project management duties. Prepares technical reports and letters. In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following: 
  • Lead the development of drainage impact studies, master plans and engineering reports (including CLOMRS & LOMRS)
  • Lead the development of project design concepts, criteria, construction plans and reviews project documents for conformity and quality assurance
  • Work with client and other disciplines to prepare appropriate designs, as dictated by the scope of work
  • Analyze complex design problems requiring the development of new or improved techniques or procedures
  • Consults with construction personnel concerning design constructability
  • Provide input for proposals and pursuit of new projects
  • Supervision of junior level staff
  • Makes recommendations on project staffing
  • Communicates independently with clients
What you will bring to our firm: 
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering is required
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license 
  • 4 to 10 Years of relevant experience involving H&H Projects
  • Experience with Project proposals and Presentations 
  • Expertise with ArcGIS, HEC-RAS (1D/2D), HEC-HMS, XP SWMM (1D/2D), AutoCAD/MicroStation (preferred)
Compensation:The salary range for this role is $90,000 - $135,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location. Featured Benefits:  Hybrid (in-person and remote) work environment.
