Our HIM Release of information Supervisors play an integral role in providing day to day supervision and oversite of the HIM department including: Assisting the manager with planning, implementation, and coordination of Health Information Management functions; Supervising workflow of core HIM Release of Information functions to ensure efficient and effective operations; Conduct training for team members or students to ensure competency and consistent practice and Evaluates the performance of team members.

Position: HIM Release of Information Supervisor
Shift: Monday - Friday 8am-4:30pm with on-call rotation
Experience:
1. At least 3-5 years of Release of Information experience in a healthcare setting
2. Supervisory experience preferred
3. Experience working in EPIC or other electronic health record management software preferred.
4. Basic to intermediate Microsoft Excel proficiency required.
5. Ability to work under pressure and prioritize multiple projects using critical thinking and various problem solving methods
Education:
1. Key differentiator for a Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management or related field
2. Graduate of an accredited American Health Information Management Administration (AHIMA) program preferred, or concurrent enrollment with completion and credential within one year of hire.
Licensures/Certifications:
1. Registered Health Information Technologist (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) required, with successful completion of exam within 6 months of hire date.
