Overnight Resident Monitor

Location: Bartow, FL
Compensation: $16.00/hour
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Department: Operations
Reports To: Facility Director

Position Overview

The Resident Monitor plays a critical role in maintaining the safety, security, and daily operations of a work release facility serving individuals transitioning back into the community.

This position combines custodial supervision, documentation, and client interaction to ensure a structured, compliant, and supportive environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, composed under pressure, and committed to helping individuals successfully reintegrate into society.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain safety, security, and supervision of residents in a structured work release environment

  • Conduct routine counts, inspections, and searches to control contraband and ensure compliance

  • Monitor daily resident activities including meals, work assignments, visitation, and recreation

  • Complete accurate documentation, reports, logs, and entries in the inmate management system

  • Perform intake procedures for new residents, including documentation and file setup

  • Respond appropriately to incidents while maintaining professionalism and emotional control

  • Identify and report safety, medical, or behavioral concerns

  • Enforce policies, procedures, and emergency protocols

  • Participate in required trainings and staff meetings

  • Support a respectful, structured, and accountable environment for residents and staff
