Job description

Position Overview:
Home Instead-Toledo, OH is seeking a dedicated and responsible On-Call Supervisor to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about home care and looking to make a difference in the lives of our clients and care professionals, while earning some extra cash. The On-Call Supervisor will be responsible for managing and supporting our caregivers and clients during the weekend on-call hours. This role allows for flexibility, as the supervisor can handle all calls from their cell phone and does not need to report to an actual work site. Although actual time spent on the phone is typically limited, the supervisor must be prepared to sign up new clients if management is unavailable and to work as a care professional if a shift cannot be staffed due to a call-off.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support and guidance to caregivers during on-call hours.
  • Address any urgent client or caregiver concerns, including last-minute scheduling changes, emergencies, or issues.
  • Ensure all shifts are covered and coordinate replacements if necessary.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all on-call activities and communication.
  • Sign up new clients if management is not available.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients and caregivers during on-call hours.
  • Fill in as a care professional if a shift cannot be staffed due to a call-off.
  • Communicate effectively with the management team regarding any significant issues that arise.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or management role in home care or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
