About the Role
The Scheduling Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of healthcare services by managing and coordinating staff schedules. The Scheduling Coordinator will work closely with clinical teams and management to anticipate staffing needs and respond promptly to changes or emergencies. By maintaining accurate and up-to-date schedules, the Scheduling Coordinator helps minimize staffing conflicts and supports compliance with labor regulations and organizational policies. Ultimately, this role contributes significantly to the overall resident experience and operational success.
Job Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and adjust staff schedules to meet the dynamic needs of the healthcare facility.
  • Monitor attendance, leave requests, and shift changes to always ensure adequate coverage.
  • Communicate schedule updates and changes promptly to all relevant associates.
  • Utilize scheduling software and tools to track and report on staffing metrics and compliance.
  • Address and resolve scheduling conflicts or issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Support onboarding and training of new staff regarding scheduling procedures and policies.
  • Collaborate with human resources and payroll departments to ensure accurate timekeeping and compensation.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Proven experience in scheduling or workforce coordination, preferably in a healthcare or similar environment.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using scheduling software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with diverse teams.
  • Must have CNA/QMA certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in long-term care, assisted living, or healthcare facility scheduling.
  • Familiarity with labor laws and healthcare compliance standards related to staffing.
