Job description

Associate Attorney
Mullen Coughlin is a highly successful, fast growing multi-country niche law firm focused exclusively on counseling organizations in the context of data privacy, including incident response, regulatory investigations, single-plaintiff and class action litigation, and compliance. Committed to the rapid incident response to incoming client calls, we thrive in a high energy, close-knit, and upbeat office culture. The Firm pays very competitively in the market and offers a full benefit package, including accrued time off, paid maternity and paternity leave, and a generous 401(k) program. At it's headquarters office, located at 426 West Lancaster Ave, Devon, PA, Mullen Coughlin's home office is over fifty-six thousand square feet, boasting the latest in technology and security, accommodating the projected continued growth of the firm, and providing all Mullen Coughlin employees access to amenities and resources to further their professional career, as well as their health and well-being.
In this role, the attorney will work in a highly collaborative, team environment to provide legal counsel to organizations investigating and responding to data privacy and cybersecurity incidents. Associates will collect information needed to understand the issue and scope of each situation, engage and direct experts needed to appropriately investigate and respond to the event, and communicate to regulatory bodies, law enforcement agencies, and other third-parties as needed while advising clients throughout the investigation. Due to the unpredictable nature of cybersecurity events, all Partners and Associates participate in a rotating on-call schedule to provide crisis management support to our clients.
The ideal candidate will have membership in good standing to the Pennsylvania Bar, a curiosity to learn more about cybersecurity law, and an enthusiastic and team-oriented attitude. Exceptional analytic, writing, communication, and preparation skills, plus focused attention to detail are key to performing well in our highly responsive environment. Candidates should demonstrate initiative and the ability to independently maintain their own caseload.
We are currently looking for attorneys who generally bring 1 to 8 years of experience, with preference given to those who have worked in private practices within data privacy, healthcare, and regulatory compliance.
To Apply, submit a resume, cover letter and writing sample using the online application link below.
