Hiring: Digital Privacy Protection & Online Identity Protection Consultant
Location: Remote (U.S.-Based Preferred)
Duration: Contract / On-Call Consulting Services
The Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) is seeking an experienced Digital Privacy Protection Consultant to provide online privacy, identity protection, and personal information removal services for personnel occupying high-risk or sensitive positions. The consultant will help reduce online exposure by identifying, monitoring, suppressing, and removing publicly accessible personal information from data brokers, search engines, and other online sources.
Key Responsibilities:
✓ Identify and remove personally identifiable information (PII) from data broker and people-search websites.
✓ Perform ongoing monitoring of online exposure, including search engines, social media, and public databases.
✓ Manage data broker opt-out requests and recurring information removal activities.
✓ Monitor for impersonation attempts, identity misuse, and unauthorized online exposure.
✓ Reduce visibility of personal information in search engine results where possible.
✓ Provide digital privacy dashboards, alerts, reporting, and case management capabilities.
✓ Respond to urgent privacy and personal safety concerns through established escalation procedures.
✓ Implement secure handling of sensitive personnel information using encryption, access controls, audit logging, and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
✓ Support scalable onboarding and implementation for organizations with varying numbers of protected personnel.
✓ Continuously monitor previously removed information and perform recurring removal requests when information reappears online.
Required Experience:
• Experience providing digital privacy protection, identity protection, or online reputation management services.
• Expertise with online personal information removal, data broker suppression, and people-search website opt-outs.
• Knowledge of search engine privacy, impersonation monitoring, and social media exposure mitigation.
• Experience developing customer dashboards, reporting tools, and case management systems.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices, including encryption, MFA, audit logging, disaster recovery, and secure data handling.
• Familiarity with recognized security frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, FedRAMP, CJIS, or equivalent.
• Experience supporting government agencies, law enforcement, child protective investigators, judges, attorneys, or other high-risk public sector personnel is highly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
✓ Experience delivering enterprise-scale digital privacy protection programs.
✓ Strong project management and implementation planning skills.
✓ Ability to provide U.S.-based customer support and rapid response for urgent safety incidents.
✓ Excellent communication, reporting, and stakeholder engagement skills.
