About the role:

As a Business Development Manager within Maersk Project Logistics, you will serve as a subject matter expert focused on developing and supporting complex logistics opportunities within the Oil & Gas sector. Working closely with commercial teams, solution design experts, and customers, you will help shape commercial strategies, support business development pursuits, lead technical sales discussions, and develop tailored project logistics solutions. This role offers the opportunity to influence major customer engagements, support strategic bids and proposals, and establish Maersk as a trusted logistics partner for some of the world's leading energy and engineering organizations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and qualify project logistics opportunities generated by commercial teams.
  • Lead or support RFI, RFQ, and RFP processes, ensuring proposals are comprehensive, competitive, and aligned with customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with solution design teams to develop pricing strategies and technically sound logistics solutions.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for Maersk Project Logistics, supporting both customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Review customer contracts and commercial requirements to ensure compliance with product standards and operational capabilities.
  • Support new business pursuits through customer presentations, technical sales discussions, and solution development activities.
  • Promote Project Logistics capabilities across internal commercial teams and external customer organizations.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer, providing market intelligence and feedback to support product development and continuous improvement.
Who we are looking for:

  • Possess strong commercial acumen with experience supporting solution-based sales, customer growth initiatives, and strategic account development.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders ranging from operational teams through executive-level customer contacts.
  • Present complex logistics solutions in a clear, professional, and customer-focused manner.
  • Apply strong financial, pricing, and contract review capabilities to support profitable business growth.
  • Demonstrate excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Bring strong understanding of industry trends, customer requirements, and market dynamics within the energy and industrial sectors.

Travel expectations: Travel as required to support customer meetings, commercial pursuits, industry events, and project logistics opportunities.

Salary:

Salary: $95,000 - $135,000 USD* Compensation & Benefits:
