Job description

We Are:
Accenture is a global professional services company with leading capabilities in digital, cloud and security. Combining unmatched experience and specialized skills across more than 40 industries, we offer Strategy and Consulting, Interactive, Technology and Operations services-all powered by the world's largest network of Advanced Technology and Intelligent Operations centers. Over 500,000 people deliver on the promise of technology and human ingenuity every day, serving clients in more than 120 countries. We embrace the power of change to create value and shared success for our clients, people, shareholders, partners and communities. Visit us at http://www.accenture.com/.
You Are:
A finance-minded SAP ERP Consultant who helps CFOs and controllers transform core accounting and finance operations on SAP S/4HANA ERP.
You blend deep functional knowledge of Financial General Ledger and Sub-ledger processes with strong consulting, communication, and delivery skills. You are comfortable partnering across business, technology, testing, training, and offshore teams to align priorities, solve complex finance problems, and guide users through new ways of working.
You bring hands-on experience configuring SAP ERP, working with finance process data, and translating CFO priorities into scalable solutions that drive enterprise value, controls, and decision-ready insight.
The Work:
Deliver client SAP S/4HANA Finance transformation programs through your combined SAP application and finance process expertise, which includes your ability to:
  • Engage with client Finance stakeholders - controllers, accounting managers, and process owners - to understand current-state pain points and translate them into SAP S/4HANA Finance requirements.
  • Contribute to business cases, roadmaps, and client presentations that articulate the value of SAP S/4HANA Finance solutions for the CFO agenda.
  • Design and configure end-to-end Finance solutions across GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, and Product Costing, leveraging SAP S/4HANA, Central Finance, and partner solutions.
  • Analyze finance process data - chart of accounts, master data, sub-ledger mappings, journals, asset registers, and reconciliations - to inform design, cleanse legacy data, and validate cutover readiness.
  • Execute and coordinate system testing (unit, SIT, UAT), defect triage, cutover activities, and hypercare for SAP Finance releases.
  • Apply SAP's Business AI capabilities and GenAI use cases in finance delivery to improve efficiency in close, controls, and reporting processes.
  • Collaborate across cross-functional teams - business, technology, integration, testing, training, client, and offshore - in a Global Delivery model.
  • Coach analysts and junior team members, contribute to internal assets and best practices, and continuously deepen your SAP S/4HANA Finance expertise.

Travel may be required for this role. The amount of travel will vary from 0 to 100% depending on business need and client requirements.
Here's what you need:
  • Minimum of 3 years of functional experience in SAP Finance, including hands-on exposure to GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, and/or Product Costing.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with SAP Asset Accounting / Fixed Assets, including capitalization, depreciation, and parallel ledger requirements.
  • Minimum of 2 end-to-end SAP S/4HANA or SAP Finance implementations in a configuration, functional, or delivery role.
  • Minimum of 3 years of finance transformation consulting experience - including process design, controllership, close optimization, or CFO advisory work.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience serving utilities clients (electric, gas, or water) or in a utilities finance, controllership, or regulatory function.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years' work experience). If Associate's Degree, must have equivalent minimum 6-year work experience

Bonus Points If:
  • You have a SAP S/4HANA Finance certification (e.g., SAP Certified Associate - SAP S/4HANA for Financial Accounting or Management Accounting).
  • You have a CPA, CMA, ACCA, MBA, or equivalent accounting/finance credential (or in progress).
  • You have experience with SAP Central Finance, Group Reporting, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), or SAP Datasphere.
  • You have familiarity with embedding GenAI / agentic AI into close, controls, and reporting processes.
  • You have experience supporting workshops and design decisions across system build, configuration, testing, cutover, and go-live in the SAP Finance area.
  • You have experience collaborating across cross-functional business, technology, integration, testing, training, client, and offshore teams in a Global Delivery model.
