What is an offline media?

An Offline Media job involves planning, buying, and managing advertising in traditional media channels such as television, radio, print, and out-of-home (OOH) placements. Professionals in this role analyze audience demographics, negotiate ad placements, and track the effectiveness of campaigns. They work closely with marketing teams to ensure that offline media strategies align with broader business goals. This role requires strong analytical skills, industry knowledge, and negotiation abilities.

What are the typical daily responsibilities of someone working in offline media?

Professionals in Offline Media spend their days planning, negotiating, and managing advertising campaigns across traditional platforms such as TV, radio, print, and outdoor media. They work closely with clients to understand campaign objectives, select the most effective channels, and coordinate with media vendors to secure ad placements. Monitoring campaign performance, managing budgets, and reporting on results are also key parts of the role. The position often involves collaborating with creative teams, sales departments, and analytics specialists to ensure cohesive brand messaging and optimal campaign outcomes.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the offline media position, and why are they important?

To thrive in an Offline Media role, you need a strong understanding of traditional advertising channels like print, radio, and television, together with a background in marketing, communications, or a related field. Familiarity with media planning and buying platforms, campaign analytics tools, and possibly certifications in media planning are valuable assets. Excellent negotiation, relationship-building, and project management skills set top candidates apart. These capabilities are crucial for effectively placing and optimizing campaigns, maximizing return on investment, and collaborating with both clients and vendors in the fast-paced offline media landscape.

Job description

About Polymarket
Polymarket is the world's largest prediction market platform. We enable individuals to express views on real-world events by trading on outcomes across politics, economics, sports, culture, and current affairs. Built as a peer-to-peer marketplace with no centralized "house," Polymarket aggregates diverse opinions into transparent, market-based probabilities that reflect collective expectations about the future.
We're growing fast, both in terms of volume ($21B traded in 2025) and adoption as an alternative news source. Our ambition is to become a ubiquitous beacon of truth in global media and we need your help adding fuel to the fire.
About the Role
Polymarket's marketing team is scaling its offline media presence across Video, Audio, OOH, and beyond. The strategy is set. Now we need someone to help execute it without anything falling through the cracks. This Offline Specialist role sits at the center of that execution, working directly with the head of offline media to make sure every campaign runs on time, stays within budget, and hits our marketing KPIs.
Day to day, you'll own the operational layer of offline media: coordinating with vendors, keeping budgets accurate, trafficking creative assets, and tracking deliverables across every active campaign. You'll be the first to catch a pacing issue before it becomes a budget problem and the person vendors hear from most. The hiring manager handles strategic direction. You handle everything required to bring that strategy to life.
This is a high-ownership role for someone who takes real pride in operational precision. You won't be handed a playbook. You'll help build and maintain the systems that keep the team running. As you grow into the role, you'll be pulled into negotiation conversations and higher-level budget discussions, taking on more strategic responsibility over time.
What You'll Do
  • Coordinate vendor logistics across Video, Audio, OOH, and Direct Mail campaigns, managing timelines, specs, and deliverables from kickoff to completion.
  • Own budget tracking across all offline channels, maintaining accurate pacing data and flagging discrepancies before they escalate.
  • Traffic creative assets to vendors, confirm receipt, and verify that materials meet channel-specific specs and go-live deadlines.
  • Manage day-to-day vendor communications, keeping external partners accountable and escalating key decisions to the hiring manager with full context.
  • Compile and organize campaign performance data across offline channels, supporting measurement and attribution reporting.
  • Maintain detailed records of campaign status, budget activity, and vendor commitments so the team always has a clear picture of where things stand.
  • Support negotiation conversations and higher-level budget discussions as you grow into the role and take on greater strategic ownership.

What We're Looking For
  • 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience in offline marketing, with direct activation experience across at least two of the following: Video, Audio, and OOH.
  • Proven track record managing campaign budgets and pacing, including catching and resolving discrepancies before they become larger problems.
  • Prior experience owning day-to-day vendor relationships in a professional setting, not just supporting them.
  • Solid understanding of offline measurement and attribution methods, including how traditional media spend connects to outcomes like acquisition and brand lift.
  • Strong organizational skills across the board: notetaking, creative trafficking, time management, and prioritization when deadlines compete.
  • (Plus) Experience in the prediction markets or online gaming industry, or at minimum, a highly regulated industry such as financial services.
  • (Plus) Agency-side background in offline or traditional media.
  • (Plus) Familiarity with creative trafficking tools and workflows.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary & equity
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Full Health, Vision, & Dental coverage
  • 401k match
  • Hardware setup: new MacBook Pro, big display, & accessories
