Job Description
The Director, Media Marketing Services leads the regional omni-channel media strategy and performance function across LAC, overseeing strategy, technology, governance, agency relationships, and budget for our marketing initiatives with clients (banks, merchants, fintech's, etc). This leader manages a team of media managers and partners with cross-functional and global teams to evolve Visa's go-to-market approach through data-driven, innovative media practices.
We are seeking an entrepreneurial and AI savvy Director to lead media performance for the Marketing Services team across Latin America & Caribbean (LAC), driving business results, innovation, and media excellence. This leader owns the regional media strategies and delivery end-to-end-including strategy, technology partners, agency management, negotiations, processes, governance, and ongoing performance optimization-and is responsible for elevating how Visa client's plans, activates, and measures media across the region. The role requires deep expertise across social, creators, e-retail, digital media (programmatic, paid social, VOD, GEO, and emerging channels), offline media (OTV, PTV, OOH) as well as command of modern practices including first-party data strategy, cookie less measurement, data clean rooms, AI-driven media planning and optimization, ad tech, tracking, and attribution.
This leader has strong client facing experience on top of media expertise as he/she will be working with our partners to create relevant media plans.
The Director also influences ad tech and media agency management for marketing services, owns media billing control, while serving as the guardian of data privacy standards across all markets. Reporting to the LAC Senior Director of Media, Digital and Content, this leader partners with marketing, business leads, agencies, and local, regional, and global media teams to drive high-visibility campaigns and marketing initiatives. Beyond leading strategy, analytics, and omni-channel execution, the Director is responsible for developing and mentoring a high-performing media team, building regional capabilities, and translating Visa's marketing services goals into integrated media plans that deliver measurable business impact. Success in this role requires strong business acumen, a test-and-learn mindset, and exceptional communication and leadership skills.
Essential Functions:
Strategy & Leadership
  • Lead the regional performance and omni-channel media strategy across LAC for digital and offline media (programmatic, search, social, VOD, TV, OOH), including strategy, technology stack, governance, processes, negotiation, and billing.
  • Own the regional media technology roadmap and stack (AI, DSP, DMP/CDP, and first-party data infrastructure), setting standards and governance across markets.
  • Act as the senior lead contact for media strategy across the region, interfacing with global, regional, and local teams, partners, and agencies.

Team Leadership & Talent Development
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of media managers, building capability and driving performance.
  • Lead local offline agency planners across multiple markets, aligning strategy, negotiation, programming, and billing.

Execution & Performance Oversight
  • Oversee the planning and execution of integrated media plans across all LAC markets in partnership with media managers and agencies, driving ongoing optimization of ROI, assets, and vendors.
  • Partner with the Analytics team to deploy attribution models, track key media metrics, evaluate campaign performance, and continuously optimize for media efficiency and integrity.
  • Guide the team with recommendations on best formats, publishers, and cost efficiency (CPP, CPM, CPC, CPV, etc.).

Data, Privacy & Governance
  • Develop and own a first-party data strategy, serving as guardian of data privacy guidelines and compliance.
  • Partner with agencies and global teams to elevate processes in AI, tagging, segmentation, DCO, contextual targeting, reporting, tracking, and measurement.

Budget & Financial Ownership
  • Own regional media spend control in partnership with agencies and Finance, ensuring accountability and efficiency.

Innovation & Center of Excellence
  • Establish and champion media best practices, staying ahead of key media trends and driving innovation across the media ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, IT, and Product teams on the development and implementation of marketing technology tools.
  • Drive a test-and-learn culture, continuously evolving Visa's go-to-market approach across the media ecosystem.

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
  • 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
  • 10+ years of omni-channel media experience with progressive leadership responsibility
  • Proven experience leading and developing high-performing media teams
  • Experience in the credit card, payments, or banking industry is a plus
  • Deep expertise across the full campaign ecosystem: strategic planning, media sufficiency, channel mix, negotiation, and execution across TV (OTV), cable, OOH, programmatic (DSPs, PMPs), paid social, paid search, and SEO
  • Strong command of media technology: DSP, DMP/CDP, ad serving, verification, brand safety, and DCO
  • First-party data strategy and privacy-compliant data management
  • Cookie less measurement and privacy-first attribution
  • AI-driven media planning and optimization
  • Data clean rooms and data collaboration environments
  • Proven ability to lead regional, cross-market media strategy and govern agency relationships
  • Strong budget ownership and financial management experience
  • Excellent communication and influence skills across global, regional, and local stakeholders

Information for US Applicants
For roles located in the US, the estimated salary range for this position is $151.600,00 to $ 242.800,00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
