Job description

Position Summary: 

As a Dedicated Operations Manager for A. Duie Pyle, you will be tasked with managing the customer account, hiring drivers, and developing a full-service solution. Our Dedicated Division offers any customer a unique regional truckload alternative within the Northeast, helping businesses navigate, and reach their supply chain goals.

Start time: 3 PM

Schedule: Sunday - Thursday

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinating and managing scheduling for a dedicated customer
  • Being available and on call for Pyle driver and customer needs requires availability during PM hours
  • Building dynamic routing using our routing software (must be comfortable learning this system)
  • Optimizing the schedule daily and or as needed
  • Holding an onsite presence at the customer’s location(s) – build and develop a strong relationship
  • Partnering with sales and customer service to schedule deliveries; working cross-functionally within Pyle to service the account and grow the business

To be qualified for this position, you must possess the following:

  • Previous transportation management experience in a dedicated environment preferred
  • Experience with load planning and driver management
  • Proficiency with computers, including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook, etc.)
  • Ability to be on-call during driver work hours
  • Understanding and knowledge of DOT regulations
  • Effective communication and customer service skills with the ability to represent the Company in a positive, professional manner
  • Strong organizational skills 

The following skillsets are preferred, but not required:

  • TMW and People Net knowledge
  • P+L responsibility
