Job description

Temporary Clerical / Administrative Assistant

Location: Milford, NH
Position Type: Temporary
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $25.00–$27.00 per hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and organized Temporary Clerical / Administrative Assistant to provide general administrative and reception support at our Milford, NH location. This position will assist with day-to-day office activities, candidate communication, scheduling, document management, and other clerical tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff and maintain the reception area, providing a professional and welcoming experience for visitors and employees.

  • Receive, prepare, and send packages and mail.

  • Schedule and coordinate conference rooms for interviews, meetings, and other events.

  • Conduct candidate phone screens using established questions and templates.

  • Follow up with candidates regarding the status of pre-hire and onboarding activities.

  • Draft basic, professional communications to employees based on provided source material for review and approval.

  • Coordinate and order meals for meetings and events.

  • File, organize, and maintain documents and records.

  • Enter basic employee information into internal systems, including pay changes, terminations, and other updates based on clear instructions.

  • Provide general administrative support to the team as needed.

Qualifications
  • Previous clerical, administrative, receptionist, recruiting, or customer service experience preferred.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Professional and clear verbal and written communication skills.

  • Comfortable speaking with candidates and employees over the phone.

  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn internal systems quickly.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established instructions and processes.

  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally.

  • Reliable, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment.

Pay Details: $25.00 to $27.00 per hour
