ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The following duties are typical for this position; however, other duties may be assigned as available or necessary. This list in exclusive to all tasks, nor is it all inclusive. To be successful in this role, an individual must complete each task satisfactorily to the standard of the Dodge County Sheriffโ€™s Office.

  3. Create Professional Documents/Documentation

  6. Support Training
  7. Observe Court Testimony
  8. Provide Community Law Enforcement Education
  9. Monitor Weather/Environment Conditions
  10. Assist in Investigations
  11. Assist/Support Evidence Custodians
  12. Deploy Equipment in the Community
  13. Support Tobacco Sales Compliance
  14. Support Traffic Control Efforts
  15. Support Foot Patrols
  16. Develop Public Relations Materials
  17. Support the Review of Traffic and Crime Data

  19. Other tasks as directed by the Sheriff

PHYSICAL AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Reliable attendance
  • Knowledge of Personal Protective Equipment.
  • This work requires the occasional exertion of up to 25 pounds of force; work regularly requires walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling and reaching with hands and arms.

  • Hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels.
