Job description

Office Assistant

Responsibilities

  • Answers phone, redirects calls, takes detailed messages and communicates messages
  • Greets customers on the phone and in person
  • Communicates with others to answer questions or resolve issues
  • Reconciles cash, checks, and credit card payments with invoices and prepares bank deposits
  • Manages customer accounts
  • Processes and redistributes dealership e-mail
  • Reconciles petty cash
  • Sets up JD Financial accounts
  • Processes parts invoices for AP
  • Takes photos of used equipment and uploads to internet
  • Submits supporting purchase order paperwork to Willmar location
  • Creates, prints, and distributes sales reports to both locations
  • Generates and sends warranty letters for both locations
  • Corrects, updates, and submits timesheets for Litchfield location
  • Enters daily time worked into payroll spreadsheets
  • Tracks, orders and manages office, breakroom, vending and other supplies
  • Picks up, opens, and distributes incoming mail and runs errands for dealership as required
  • Completes training required for the development of skills and knowledge
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Experience and Qualifications

  • 1+ years in an administrative assistant or bookkeeper position preferred
  • Administrative Assistant degree or Accounting/Finance discipline preferred
  • Understanding of accounting fundamentals such as debits, credits, AR, AP and budgets
  • Ability to use standard desktop applications like Microsoft Office and internet functions
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to bend, lift and carry up to 30 pounds
  • Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record required

Haug Implement Co. provides an estimated base pay range. The actual starting pay offer will account for our overall wage and benefit package, applicant experience, training, and skill, and internal equity among our existing employees. This is an hourly position with a potential hiring offer range of $18.00-25.00 based on factors listed above.
