Job description

Position Summary
Showroom Administrator needs to be an individual who can support the manager and sales effort in achieving and surpassing all tasks and goals. Provide the highest level of customer service to both clients as well as Showroom Sales, while being responsible for all profits data entry and order processing. Facilitate both accounts payable and receivable. Individual must be self-motivated and able to respond to multiple, changing priorities as well as actively support the Showroom Manager. The administrator must be committed to brand integrity and possess good judgment, a positive outlook, flexibility, and a sense of humor. This individual must act in part with the showroom team to ensure that all tasks and goals are achieved and surpassed.
Position Details
  • Primary administrator for Profit system: order entry, maintenance, proofing, and client specification accuracy in Profits & SAP. Provide order status updates, track through completion, and assist with collections/delivery.
  • Sales support as directed: answering calls, quotes, order entry, and weekly open-order checks.
  • Assistant to Showroom Manager; support for showroom sales and daily showroom upkeep (furniture placement, tagging, housekeeping).
  • Complete accounting reports, maintain order paperwork, traffic reports, catalogs, price pages, and samples.
  • Place/follow up on showroom displays and vendor orders; handle vendor customer service and A/P inquiries.
  • Coordinate with manager, administrator, and CSR on order processes; track sales volume toward goals.
  • Assist with inventory, price increases, sample sales, special events, and other showroom activities.

Position Requirements
  • High School degree or equivalent, higher education a plus.
  • Administration and/or clerical background required; a furniture and/or design background is preferred.
  • Excellent people and communication skills.
  • Organization, accuracy, and memory skills necessary.
  • Basic office computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel required, above average typing skill, knowledge of a POS system a plus.
