We empower all stakeholders to optimize resources and maximize opportunities while focusing on the most important stakeholder of all: the patient.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Director of Accounting to lead our accounting and controllership function and help advance a modern, scalable finance infrastructure at a fast-growing, venture-backed healthcare technology company. This role owns the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of the company's financial reporting and serves as a key partner to Finance leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
Reporting to the EVP, Finance and partnering closely with the Senior Director of FP&A, the Director of Accounting oversees core accounting operations, including month-end close, US GAAP compliance, audit readiness, and technical accounting. This individual will deliver accurate, defensible financials while modernizing systems and processes through automation and technology to support a growing, complex business.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in high-growth environments, brings strong technical accounting expertise, and enjoys building scalable processes and infrastructure in a fast-moving organization. • Own financial reporting & data integrity: Prepare and deliver accurate, GAAP-compliant financial statements and reporting packages for internal leadership, Board materials, investors, auditors, and other external stakeholders. Serve as the final owner of financial data integrity, reconciliations, supporting schedules, and accounting documentation.

  • Drive systems, automation, and process improvement: Serve as owner of NetSuite and key upstream finance systems while driving automation, scalable workflows, and process improvements that reduce manual effort, minimize reconciliation risk, and support a growing and increasingly complex business.
  • Cross-functional partnership & leadership: Collaborate closely with FP&A, Legal, HR, Technology, Product, and Operations teams to support new initiatives, contracts, growth programs, and strategic projects. Provide pragmatic accounting guidance to non-finance stakeholders and help build scalable operational processes as the company grows.

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA (active or inactive) strongly preferred, but not required
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including ownership of month-end close and GAAP-compliant financial reporting
  • Deep knowledge of US GAAP and technical accounting concepts, including revenue recognition and equity-related accounting
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite or comparable enterprise ERP systems
  • Proven ability to build, improve, and scale accounting processes and controls in high-growth or complex environments
  • Demonstrated success driving automation, process improvements, and system enhancements
  • Experience in healthcare, SaaS, or technology-enabled businesses strongly preferred
  • Exposure to, or strong interest in, emerging AI-enabled / AI-native finance tools and workflows
  • High integrity, strong attention to detail, and ownership mindset
  • Automation-first mindset with a bias toward building scalable, repeatable processes
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and helping bring structure as the company grows
  • Collaborative partner able to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-finance stakeholders
