What is ocean shipping?

Ocean shipping refers to the transportation of goods and cargo by sea using large ships and vessels. It is one of the most cost-effective and efficient methods for moving large quantities of products across long distances, especially between continents. Ocean shipping plays a crucial role in global trade, handling the majority of international freight. The process typically involves booking space on a vessel, loading containers at ports, and managing the logistics of delivery to the final destination.

Professionals in ocean shipping logistics often encounter challenges such as unpredictable weather conditions, port congestion, and regulatory compliance across international borders. Addressing these issues typically involves staying updated on global regulations, leveraging technology for real-time tracking, and maintaining strong communication with port authorities and partners.
