For over 25 years, National Experienced Workforce Solutions (NEW Solutions) has specialized in connecting experienced workers (ages 55+) with full-time and part-time job opportunities that support the critical missions of Federal Agencies across the United States.

NEW Solutions connects experienced workers (ages 55+) with the Bureau of Reclamation (USBR). These experienced professionals provide administrative, scientific, and technical support to the Bureau of Reclamation through the Experienced Services Program (ESP).

Positions listed here do not guarantee employment for any definite period. Enrollment in the Experienced Worker Programs administered by NEW Solutions is temporary. The enrollment relationship between NEW Solutions and the Enrollee is an ?at-will? relationship. This means that an Enrollee is free to terminate enrollment at any time during the enrollment period, and NEW Solutions and the Agency have the right to terminate the relationship with the Enrollee.

Qualifications:

BA/BS Degree in Water or Environmental Law or Policy with minimum additional experience of 10 year(s) in water law or policy

  • Strong understanding of state (Nevada) and federal water policy, laws, and regulations, and an understanding of the Bureau of Reclamation?s mission and operations.
  • Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS PowerPoint, MS Teams, MS Outlook, MS SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat
Duties:

The recipient will support the Department of the Interior and the Bureau of Reclamation by reviewing identified issues with the implementation of the 1997 Operating Criteria and Procedures of the Newlands Project (OCAP) and providing guidance for the forthcoming OCAP Revision.

  • Review and provide guidance on issues associated with the 1997 OCAP   65%
  • Hold interviews/meetings with LBAO and partners   10%
  • Develop a technical memorandum and PowerPoint presentation to communicate results   25%
