The Oasis at Death Valley is situated in a lush, spring-fed desert oasis, surrounded by the vast and arid desert of Death Valley National Park. The Oasis operates the historic AAA Four Diamond Inn and Ranch, restaurants, gift shops, and the world's lowest elevation golf course. Both hotels are open year-round and feature swimming pools fed by naturally warm local springs.
We're hiring Housekeeping Inspectors to Live. Work. Explore. in Death Valley National Park!
Job Summary:
Inspects all guest rooms daily to ensure cleanliness and assesses the condition according to established guidelines and standards as set by the Housekeeping Manager.
The Details:
Position Type: Full-Time, Year-Round or Seasonal
Season Dates: Mid-July
Pay: $18.15/hr
Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days/per week (will include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities
  • Supervises Guest Room Attendants and Housepersons. Ensures maximum productivity and guest room/area cleanliness.
  • Inspects each checkout and stay-over room in assigned section, and addresses concerns through coaching; communicates opportunities to the housekeeping manager.
  • Inspects all hallways and public areas as assigned, and addresses concerns through coaching; communicates opportunities to the housekeeping manager.
  • Inspects and restocks supply closets in assigned section throughout the day and at the end of shift. Communicates amenities par levels of that need to be ordered.
  • Reports occupancy statuses for assigned section to PBX and housekeeping manager as needed.
  • Uses in-room phone system to update room statuses in a prompt and timely manner.
  • Learns and uses computer system to ensure accuracy of room statuses throughout the day.
  • Immediately reports maintenance concerns to Engineering and Housekeeping Manager and adjusts room availability accordingly.
  • Immediately reports and turns in all lost and found items to Fire, Life, and Safety.
  • Cleans guest rooms when necessary.
  • Cleans public areas when necessary.
  • Cleans administrative offices and restrooms when necessary.
  • Checks Out of Order rooms to see if MRs are complete.
  • Training new employees and retraining when necessary.
  • Communicates to housekeeping management to assign any rooms for deep clean.
  • Responsible for keeping a Master sheet for any projects. Ensuring the project is completed in a timely manner.
  • Other duties as assigned by housekeeping management.

Qualifications
  • At least 6 months to 1-year previous customer service experience.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License
  • Prior experience experience in housekeeping, preferably in a hotel, resort, or healthcare setting strongly preferred.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must adhere to grooming standards.
  • Must adhere to all OSHA and company guidelines when using cleaning materials.
  • Must be available for AM and PM Inspector shifts.
  • Bilingual preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements include:
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to bend, push, pull, kneel, lift and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to work in extreme temperatures.
