With more than half of its team comprised of military veterans, the company brings a high level of professionalism and operational excellence to every mission. Headquartered in North Kingstown (Quonset), Rhode Island, HeliService USA operates across multiple locations including Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts; Texas; Virginia; and Ohio, supported by a growing workforce of over 100 professionals. The company provides a comprehensive range of specialized helicopter services using the Leonardo AW169, including offshore wind support as the first and only dedicated U.S. operator in this sector, helicopter emergency medical services (HEMS), air ambulance operations (HAA), and harbor pilot transfers involving precision hoisting to maritime vessels. HeliService USA is seeking an experienced and dedicated Captain to join our team in Beaumont, Texas. This position requires expertise in IFR operations, NVG proficiency, and hoist missions using the AW-169 helicopter. Join a team committed to excellence, safety, and mission success. Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct IFR and NVG operations in compliance with 14 CFR Part 135 regulations.
  • Perform hoisting missions in the offshore environment, adhering to company SOPs and safety protocols.
  • Ensure operational readiness, including pre-flight and post-flight inspections, mission planning, and risk assessments.
  • Act as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) while fostering a culture of Crew Resource Management (CRM).
  • Maintain compliance with HeliService USA policies, FAA regulations, and Safety Management Systems (SMS).
Qualifications:
  • Licenses and Certifications:
    • FAA ATP or Commercial Rotorcraft-Helicopter Certificate.
    • FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
    • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States of America.
  • Flight Experience:
    • Minimum of 2,000 rotorcraft total flight hours.
    • 500 hours of multi-engine helicopter time.
    • 100 hours of night flight operations.
    • Proven experience in IFR and NVG operations.
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Hoist operation experience preferred.
    • Offshore flight experience preferred.
    • Familiarity with AW-169 systems and limitations.
    • Strong knowledge of risk management, SMS, and FAA regulations.
Training/Specific Activities Required:
  • Complete annual training as required by company policy and law on an annual basis in a timely manner.
  • Read all newsletters and bulletins to remain current on policies, procedures, and developments as well as to meet all company compliance standards.
  • Employment at HeliService USA is contingent on successful completion of training and release to the line by the Director of Training and Chief Pilot at the completion of the required line training period.
  • Pre-employment drug testing must be completed with verified negative results in full compliance with applicable DOT and FAA regulations prior to an individual performing any safety-sensitive functions.
