Job Details
ChristianaCare is currently seeking a full-time Manager Nursing Services to support primary care practices within the Medical Group including practices in DE and PA.
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
To assume responsibility and accountability for nursing practice and clinical practice of clinical support staff to include all nursing staff within the ChristianaCare Medical Group practices. Responsibility includes the management and oversight of policies, protocols, workflows, and oversight of education, onboarding and recruitment of nursing resources and materials to ensure compliance of regulatory and organizational standards ensuring safe patient care delivery.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assists with the management of nursing practice and care delivery for the MGCC practices.
  • Utilizes experience, knowledge and skills necessary to provide and demonstrate patient centric care delivery as well as identify patient needs.
  • Enables a relationship-based care approach to care delivery.
  • Evaluates, monitors, and measures clinical competencies for RN, LPNs, and MA.
  • Supports and identifies orientation and educational opportunities for clinical staff.
  • Performs routine rounds at the practices to establish visibility, teamwork, and monitoring care delivery.
  • Monitors, develops, and evaluates written nursing and ancillary policies and procedures and workflows needed to achieve standardized, high-quality, safe and efficient health care processes throughout MGCC.
  • Assures compliance with regulatory and professional standards.
  • Manages nursing practice and care delivery.
  • Supports Medical Group and CC Organizational wide initiatives.
  • Supports and facilitates a culture of nursing professional governance.
  • Participates in Joint Commission Ambulatory liaison regulatory meeting and dissemination information as needed.
  • Provides oversight of RN and Medical Assistants clinical duties and responsibilities and facilitates RN integration in practices.
  • Participates in implementation of a shared decision-making model for nursing and clinical staff.
  • Demonstrates and promotes positive interpersonal communication skills all the time.
  • Maintains a cooperative and collaborative relationship with the Clinical Directors, clinical leaders, operations leader, and clinicians and colleagues within and outside of the Medical group practices.
  • Active participant and coordinator and or facilitator of projects related to clinical activities.
  • Identifies risk management and infection prevention issues and takes appropriate measures to correct as well as notifies MGCC leadership.
  • Interviews and hires potential employees.
  • Engages staff in adhering to customer service standards.
  • Coaches, evaluates, and disciplines staff according to CCHS policy.
  • Maintains accurate employee files, including licensure of professional staff.
  • Participates in quarterly staff meetings, communicating all appropriate information.
  • Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices; reports to supervisor, in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients and visitors.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with BSN, may have an alternative Bachelor's degree if possess MSN
  • Three to five years of clinical nursing experience in ambulatory practice, medical-surgical, emergency department or critical care experience
  • Proven leadership skills and behaviors
  • Prior experience in educating and supervising clinical staff or other informal leadership role
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Current compact RN licensure to cover multiple states including Delaware and Pennsylvania.
  • Professional certification
  • BLS Certification

Annual Compensation Range $100,152.00 - $160,243.20
This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
