Job Description:
Job Overview
Manages all aspects of the Connectors & Fittings (C&F) global product line in the AMS region, from driving new product development to manufacturing to marketing and sales. Runs the portfolio as a "mini" GM. Responsible for overall product strategy, business leadership, and capacity plans to meet sales and gross margin targets. Defines build, borrow, buy strategy for product line gaps.
Responsibilities
Market Sensing and Strategy
- Articulate market trends, demand drivers, customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape
- Define and own the execution of the global product portfolio strategy (build/borrow/buy) aligned with BU and market goals
- Define and govern the global strategic pricing framework to ensure alignment with value proposition, margin targets, and competitive positioning
- Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to shape product roadmaps and initiate plans to grow above market
- Build professional business plans and present (pitch) to Sr. Leadership team
- Align with Marketing on value proposition and go-to-market approach
- Work with R&D and operations to develop new products that meet customer requirements.
- Manage the product lifecycle including NPI execution and pruning
- Align on growth opportunities and support M&A efforts and industry partnership initiatives with strategy M&A and Application Focus Group (AFG) teams
Develop Business Plan
-Achieve cross-functional alignment to the plan
- Define resource requirements necessary to execute the product roadmap
-Work cross functionally to define sales, technology and operations strategies and goals, in line with financial goals. Build consensus on completing NPI projects with cross-functional teams
- Establish strategic pricing policy
New Product Developments and Launches
- Own the (PMT) Portfolio Management Team process for C&F NPIs in AMS
- Drive product ideation and innovation, supported by VoC, to fuel the NPI funnel
- Plan product launches, including the development of marketing and sales plans
- Own the P&L of the NPI project from start to finish
- Provide demand forecast inputs to SIOP team
- Attend customer meetings in support of winning new business
- Exercise thought leadership with other functions
- Provide inputs to Marcom for the development of collateral, including e-commerce
Execution of Post Product Launches
- Ensure revenue and gross margin success through pricing, mix, and productivity
- Monitor product line performance (e.g., revenue, gross margin, market share)
- Consider and drive corrective actions to drive gross margin/cash flow improvements
- Elevate urgent product line issues & hold respective functions accountable to resolve
- Manage special pricing requests
- Be the champion for resolution of product issues (e.g., quality, delivery, etc.)
- Provide accurate forecasts for the SIOP team on upcoming sales
- Own quarterly "Product Reviews" as part of SIOP and improve Forecast Accuracy
- Lead product data completeness (PDC) for area of product responsibility in collaboration with Marketing team to drive improved digital customer experience
Other
-Work cross-functionally to manage risk/opportunities affecting the AMS C&F product line
- Ensure Revenue/GM success at product level with Operations, Sales, and R&D

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $139,300 - 174,100 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
