Job description

The BackLot Game Technician's (BLGT) primary responsibility is to maintain the function and safety of the gaming attractions for guests to enjoy the Ultimate Entertainment experience. In addition, they will monitor and perform repairs throughout the facility including lighting, A/V, and bowling equipment. The BLGT plays an integral part in the success of the BackLot by maintaining safe and functioning attractions.

What You Will Be Doing: 

  • When interacting with guests make them feel comfortable by establishing a personal connection.
  • Communicate promptly, courteously, and effectively with all guests, management, and fellow team members. Communicate with management consistently, specifically as it pertains to facility repairs and safety.
  • Be knowledgeable about the BackLot brand and items sold to be able to answer questions.
  • Be knowledgeable of the arcade systems.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the parts room, for ease of service.
  • Patrol the game floor and perform most repairs to games as issues arise.
  • Clean and sanitize games as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and repair arcade, bowling, lighting, A/V, and POS equipment.
  • Work on mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Maintain parts inventory and order repair parts as needed.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Able to prioritize and work on multiple projects and tasks with frequent interruptions while maintaining flexibility and composure.
  • Partner with our ITTS and CFM teams to ensure larger projects are completed in a timely fashion.

What We Are Looking For: 

  • Required to be at least 18 years of age.
  • Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, loud environment, with multiple flashing lights, while in a standing position for extended periods of time.
  • Capable of remaining calm and using good judgment in all situations.
  • A professional image with an increased attention to detail, well organized and a desire to serve guests and enjoy working as part of a team.
  • Basic working knowledge of hand tools and able to utilize them to perform tasks.
  • Organized with strong attention to detail and ability to exercise judgment.
  • Knowledgeable in OSHA regulations and safety guidelines.
  • Ability and willingness to learn and utilize multiple systems that support business functions.
