Job description

Position Overview:
Responsible for providing a pathway of communication between Manufacturing, Installation and Engineering.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Provides extensive technical support for manufacturing and installation concerning design, installation and function of Knapheide products.
  • Provide technical support for manufacturing and installation concerning installation and function of auxiliary equipment.
  • Ability to identify Engineering and product changes.
  • Ability to identify standard practices needed for Installation centers.
  • Ability to locate and communicate documented standards using document library and other available applications.
  • Ability to execute the Installation Technician training program.
  • Understanding of 6S principles.
  • Understanding established safety practices for installation facilities and personnel.
  • Identify improvements to installation processes and throughput.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate across all levels of the organization including the Executive level.
  • Performs other duties, assignments and special projects that may be required from time to time.

Position Requirements:
4 year Technical degree or 5+ years of Design or Installation experience.
PC skills and experience including word processing and spreadsheet applications recommended.
Knapheide product knowledge.
Understanding of all Knapheide systems including AS400, KBS, EPDM and KnapPortal applications including the Document Library.
Understanding of Installation operations and workflow.
Hands on experience welding and using a variety of power tools is helpful.
Must have strong communication skills and the ability to interface directly with all levels of the organization. Travel 40% to 50% of the time may be required.
Physical/Mental Requirements Needed to Perform the Essential Functions of the Position:
Normal standing, bending, walking, lifting in an office environment. Ability to verbally communicate with individuals.
