Job Title: Slot Attendant

Department: Slots

Reports to: Slot Supervisor

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY

The team member in this position is responsible for providing superior service to both internal and external guests. A Slot Attendant must monitor performance of slot machines, player activity, and conditions of the casino slot areas ensuring that all slot machines are operable and identified for repair as necessary.

ESSENTIAL POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The following statements are intended as general examples of the duties of this position and are not all-inclusive for specific positions. Other reasonable duties may be assigned.

1. Interact with all guests and team members to positively influence the guest and team member experience. Demonstrate resiliency when faced with difficult situations under all types of business conditions. Work effectively and courteously with fellow team members.

2. Minor troubleshooting for basic slot machine functions.

3. Responsible for developing and maintaining positive guest relations, including but not limited to: resolving minor guest disputes and ensuring the safety and security of all guests and employees.

4. Responsible for verifying jackpots, paying jackpots, completing paper fills and accurately filling out all related paperwork associated with the daily job duties.

5. Responsible to have knowledge of patron alcohol limitations and company policy and procedure regarding limitations.

6. Able to handle situations that may arise due to intoxication.

7. Must be able to identify minors.

8. Knowledge of all special events and promotional activities.

9. Knowledge of Gaming laws and regulations and adhere to regulatory, departmental and Company policies in an ethical manner and require others to do the same.

10. Handle routine customer complaints and incidents, and exhibit the appropriate discretion to define situations requiring the attention of supervisory personnel. Seek to resolve all situations in a manner that maintains positive guest relationships.

11. Must be able to work a flexible schedule as required by business operations, including nights, weekends and holidays; shifts may change based on business needs.

12. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality relative to financial data and company policies and procedures and promotions.

13. Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:

• Must possess the ability to move effectively and efficiently throughout the slot floor –

o Walking 80%

o Standing 15%

o Bending/lifting 5%; up to 30 lbs. without assistance and 60 lbs. with assistance

Mental Demands:

• Must be able to maintain mental concentration for significant/extended periods of time.

Work Environment:

• Exposed to electricity and an environment of varying temperatures.

• Must be able to work in a smoking environment.

• Must be able to work in a gaming environment with bright/flashing lights, crowds and above average noise levels.

• Must be able to accurately perform assigned duties under frequent time pressures and an interruptive environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Experience/Education:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.

• 0-2 years casino/slot experience preferred.

Knowledge:

• Must be able to read, write and understand simple instructions.

• Must have basic computer skills.

Other:

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Level 2 Missouri Gaming License.

• Must be able to receive and maintain all required certification relating to the position.

• Must complete all required company training.
