You'll manage the project's budget, timeline, scope, and quality, while proactively handling risks and issues to ensure project targets are met.
This role goes beyond traditional project coordination. You will be expected to actively contribute to solving complex technical and delivery challenges, acting as a trusted advisor to clients and an escalation point for difficult problems. The ideal candidate is comfortable operating at the intersection of project management, technical delivery, and client engagement, with the ability to both lead execution and step in when projects require deeper problem-solving or technical context.

Responsibilities include:
  • Lead and manage complex, high-stakes projects from initiation through completion.
  • Oversee the entire project lifecycle, collaborating with external resources to align customer requirements with company objectives and ensuring successful implementation.
  • Develop comprehensive IT project plans, including task breakdowns, milestones, timelines, and resource allocations.
  • Proactively adjust project plans to accommodate changes and manage risks, ensuring timely delivery of project milestones.
  • Set and manage project expectations with team members, stakeholders, and clients.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for project updates and proactively resolve any issues or concerns.
  • Serve as an SME for Fortress products, staying updated on the latest features, functionalities, and client engagement best practices.
  • Leverage your expertise to advise clients and provide insights on how Fortress solutions can best meet their needs.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex project and technical challenges, contributing directly to problem-solving and resolution when needed.
  • Build strong client relationships by representing Fortress in a consultative, solutions-oriented manner during project execution.
  • Partner with clients to align technical solutions with business needs, providing guidance on implementation approaches and best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to improve delivery outcomes, including process improvements, solution adjustments, and alignment across stakeholders.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5–8 years of experience in technical project management or technical delivery roles, with a proven record of leading complex projects from planning through delivery.
  • Advanced knowledge of Agile software development methodologies and hands-on experience with agile project management tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong time management skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple, competing priorities and maintain focus on high-impact objectives.
  • Proven ability to solve problems creatively and analytically, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage directly with technical challenges and contribute to problem-solving beyond project coordination responsibilities.
  • Ability to independently use and refine AI-driven prompts to enhance the quality, efficiency, and insight of regular work processes.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • This role requires some travel (estimated ~ 10-20% of the time).
Preferred Skills:
  • Previous experience in a software development role or environment a plus.
  • Experience leading or supporting cybersecurity or GRC implementations, including change management and client-facing delivery.
  • Experience working in client-facing environments with a consultative approach to problem-solving and solution delivery.
  • Professional certification in project management (e.g., PMP, CAPM, Project+, Certified Scrum Master).
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline required.
Employee Benefits:
  • Competitive pay structure
  • Medical, dental, vision plans with employees covered up to 90% with highly progressive options for dependents and families
