Riverside Overview

Riverside Research is an independent National Security Nonprofit dedicated to research and development in the national interest. We provide high-end technical services, research and development, and prototype solutions to some of the country’s most challenging technical problems. All Riverside Research opportunities require U.S. Citizenship.

Position Overview

Riverside Research is seeking a full-time Systems Engineer to support the National Air & Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. This position will work with senior systems engineers, PIR phenomenology experts, intelligence analysts, system administrators, and software developers to improve the quality and reliability of data processing pipelines.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate complex technical problems to find the root cause and develop viable interim solutions
  • Effectively communicate system deficiencies to system administration and software development teams for resolution

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Active TS clearance with SCI adjudication
  • Bachelor’s in computer engineering, computer science, physics, math, or related fields
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience with Linux operating systems and system administration
  • Experience with hardware, software, binary data structures, networking topology and network protocols
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented, responsible team player able to work independently with minimal daily direction
  • Ability to work and interact with technically and organizationally diverse personnel
  • Open to occasional travel

Desired Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, physics, math, or related fields
  • Familiarity with NASIC PIR data formats and/or processing pipelines
  • Experience with reverse engineering and/or distributed systems
