Description:

Cristo Rey Richmond High School seeks a mission-driven, strategic, and detail-oriented Annual Fund Manager to lead and grow the school’s annual giving program. Reporting directly to the VP of Advancement, the Annual Fund Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating all aspects of the annual fund campaign to support the school’s operational and scholarship needs. This role is critical in building a culture of philanthropy and engaging a broad base of donors including individuals, alumni, families, foundations, and corporate partners.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Annual Fund Strategy & Execution
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive annual fund strategy aligned with the school’s mission and fundraising goals.
  • Plan and execute multi-channel annual fund campaigns (direct mail, email, social media, phone, and in-person).
  • Set and monitor annual fund goals, timelines, and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Advancement to identify and cultivate major annual fund prospects.
Donor Engagement & Stewardship
  • Manage a portfolio of annual fund donors and prospects, ensuring timely and personalized stewardship.
  • Coordinate donor recognition efforts, including thank-you letters, impact reports, and donor events with Advancement Coordinator.
  • Maintain accurate donor records and ensure timely gift processing and acknowledgment.
Communications & Marketing
  • Work with the Communications team to develop compelling fundraising materials and campaign messaging.
  • Create segmented appeals tailored to alumni, parents, faculty/staff, and community supporters.
  • Leverage storytelling to highlight student success and the impact of giving.
Data Management & Reporting
  • Utilize the school’s donor database (Raiser’s Edge) to track giving trends and donor engagement.
  • Generate regular reports on annual fund performance and donor retention.
  • Analyze data to inform strategy and improve campaign effectiveness.
Collaboration & Leadership
  • Partner with the Advancement team on integrated fundraising efforts, including events and major gifts.
  • Support the President & CEO and VP of Advancement in donor meetings, board presentations, and strategic planning.
  • Serve as a visible ambassador of Cristo Rey Richmond’s mission and values.

Requirements:


  • Ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart information to a range of students and families.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and public relations skills and the ability to communicate and work effectively within a diverse community.
  • Ability to foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, schedule, and complete job tasks effectively and accurately.
  • Knowledge and implementation of relevant instructional technology including by not limited to the Google suite.
  • Ability to appreciate and communicate a passion for faith-based college preparatory education.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Perform all other related work delegated or required to accomplish the objectives of the total school program.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or CFRE certification a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, preferably in education or faith-based organizations.
  • Proven success in managing annual fund campaigns and donor relations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with donor databases and fundraising software.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to the mission of Cristo Rey and the values of Catholic education.
