About the Development & Communications Department
ReDiscover's Development & Communications Department brings our mission to life by connecting with the community, building meaningful partnerships, and sharing the stories that inspire hope and healing. Through community engagement, event coordination, grant support, and strategic outreach, our team helps expand awareness of ReDiscover's services and strengthens our impact across the region. What You'll Do
  • Strategic Planning: Design and execute comprehensive fundraising, communications, and business marketing plan
  • Communications: Oversee digital channels (social media, website, email), manage media relations, design marketing collateral (impact reports, brochures), and monitor online reputation.
  • Development: Lead annual giving campaigns, direct fundraising events, champion donor stewardship, and identify/research competitive grant opportunities.
  • Brand Management: Maintain strict messaging consistency across all platforms while directing multimedia coverage (photo/video) at public and community events.
  • Clinical Collaboration: Partner regularly with clinical programs and leadership to align development goals with frontline healthcare needs.
  • Team Management: Supervise and mentor the development team, taking direct responsibility for the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of all deliverables.
  • Self-Management & Compliance: Prioritize complex workflows under tight deadlines while upholding organizational policies, healthcare laws, accreditation standards, and ethical practices. Contributes to the mission of ReDiscover by adjusting work priorities and duties as needed to meet unforeseen demands.

Requirements of the Position
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or related field or equivalent discipline from an accredited university; Master's Degree preferred.
  • A valid state-issued driver's license is required, along with adherence to ReDiscover's safe driving standards and agency driving criteria (e.g., proof of liability insurance and a functional vehicle). These requirements must be maintained in accordance with ReDiscover policy at all times.
  • At least four (4) years relevant experience in development and communications; experience in non-profit and/or healthcare preferred.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience managing a team.
  • Record of successfully obtaining large grants and improved donor development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator, experienced in everything from writing articles, press releases, and public speaking.
  • Strategic thinker who can create and execute strategic communication plans.
  • Proficiency in social media and online platforms
  • Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments.
  • Specific knowledge of various project and portfolio management platform(s), familiarity with online portals and other grant tracking software required.
  • Basic to Intermediate computer skills in typing/keyboarding, Microsoft Word and Excel programs as well as the use of email.
