Job Title: Testing Lead - Oracle Cloud ERP Implementation (Higher Education)

Summary:

Our client is seeking an experienced Testing Lead to support a large-scale Oracle Cloud ERP transformation initiative within a higher education environment. This role will be responsible for leading and coordinating all testing activities associated with the migration from SAP to Oracle Cloud, ensuring the quality, stability, and readiness of Oracle Cloud applications, integrations, and business processes before deployment.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience leading testing programs for Oracle Cloud implementations within complex enterprise environments. This individual will work closely with business stakeholders, functional and technical teams, implementation partners, project leadership, and third-party vendors to execute comprehensive testing strategies and ensure the successful delivery of the ERP transformation program.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the overall testing strategy, methodology, and governance framework for the Oracle Cloud implementation.
  • Lead planning and execution of all testing phases, including unit testing, configuration testing, system integration testing, user acceptance testing, payroll testing, regression testing, and production readiness validation.
  • Define testing scope, objectives, schedules, environments, resource requirements, and entry/exit criteria.
  • Establish testing standards, quality assurance processes, defect management procedures, and reporting metrics.
  • Coordinate testing activities across business, functional, technical, integration, and vendor teams.
  • Review and validate test scenarios, test cases, test scripts, and test data requirements.
  • Manage defect tracking, triage, prioritization, resolution, and retesting activities.
  • Facilitate testing status meetings and provide regular progress updates to project leadership and stakeholders.
  • Support business users throughout test preparation, execution, issue resolution, and validation activities.
  • Identify testing risks, gaps, and quality concerns, and develop mitigation plans.
  • Ensure comprehensive test coverage across Oracle Cloud modules, integrations, reports, and converted data.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of ERP testing experience, including at least 3 years leading Oracle Cloud implementation testing efforts.
  • Experience supporting Oracle Cloud ERP, Oracle Cloud HCM, Oracle Financials, Oracle Payroll, Oracle Procurement, or related Oracle Cloud applications.
  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, quality assurance processes, and defect management practices.
  • Experience managing end-to-end testing cycles within large-scale ERP implementation projects.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional testing teams and manage competing priorities.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting Oracle Cloud implementations within higher education institutions.
  • Experience with SAP-to-Oracle Cloud migration and transformation programs.
  • Knowledge of higher education business processes and administrative systems.
